How to Connect the Device

There are three ports on the GF device. The lighting and type-c ports can only be used to charge the GF device. The USB-A port is the only one to simulate.

  1. Make sure that you have installed the app ‘GF’ successfully.
  2. Press the power button on the right side of the device to turn on the device.
  3. Unlock the iPhone screen.
  4. Connect your iPhone and GF device with the USB-A to Lightning cable.(If you are using the iPhone with Type-C port, you can use the USB-A to Type-C conventer we provide and your own Type-C charging cable)
  5. After seconds, the iPhone will prompt “Trust This Computer?“, select “Trust“, and enter the password (if any).
Will not be prompted to trust again until the device restart
  6. ‘User Agreement’ will pop up. Read the content and agree. Tap the start button.
  7. If the red dot has been displayed for a long time and there is no ‘User Agreement’ prompt on the screen, you can try the following steps to reconnect:(1) Re-plug the cable, or (2) Restart the external device, or (3) Restart the phone.

Tutorial For the APP

We have combined the functions of Gfaker Phantom and Gfaker Pro into one hardware. Simply select the mode on the app to switch between the corresponding hardware functions.

  • With the Classic function (which corresponds to the function of old hardware Gfaker Phantom), you can simulate your position steadily and without distance limitation, but there is still no altitude data in the simulated data.
  • With the Pro Mode, we have been able to break the limitation that the Gfaker Pro could only simulate addresses within about 15km away from your real location. The simulated data contains all the required data and, of course, altitude data. However, this breakthrough is not stable. The farther the simulated location is from the real location, the shorter the simulated location will be maintained. Stability in this mode cannot be guaranteed for technical reasons. If you need a more stable experience in pro mode, we recommend the GF-BT device.

If you’re experiencing a continuous loading issue when trying to connect your GF device, it may be due to a compatibility issue between the GF device’s firmware version and the iOS system version on your iPhone. This tutorial will guide you through the process of resolving this issue by updating the GF device firmware to the latest version. Please note that using an older iOS version (preferably iOS 16 or below) is necessary for this update.

Steps:

  1. Get an iPhone with Older iOS Version:

    •  Get an iPhone with an iOS version of 16 or below.(Only for temporary use once, it is okay to use someone else’s iPhone.)

    • Provide the UDID of this older iOS iPhone to us.
    • Once you provide the UDID, we will generate an app that is compatible with the older iOS iPhone.
  2. Connect GF Device with Older iOS Device:

    • Install the generated app on the older iOS iPhone.
    • Connect your GF device to the older iOS iPhone using the provided app.
  3. Navigate to Firmware Update:

    • Once connected, go to the Settings page within the GF app.
  4. Initiate Firmware Update:

    • Look for the “Firmware Update” option and click on it to start the update process.
    • The firmware update may take some time, so please be patient.
  5. Avoid Interference during Update:

    • Do not operate your GF device while the progress bar is incomplete, as it may lead to device damage.
  6. Restart if Necessary:

    • If the progress bar doesn’t show any change for an extended period after completion, consider restarting your GF device.
    • Do not operate your GF device while the progress bar is incomplete, as it may lead to device damage.

Conclusion:

Following these steps should help you resolve the continuous loading issue by ensuring that your GF device’s firmware is updated to the latest version. Then you can try to connect your GF device to your latest iPhone. And it will work. Remember to exercise patience during the update process and avoid interfering with the device until the progress bar is complete. If you encounter any further issues, feel free to reach out for additional assistance.

There are three ports on the GF device. The lighting and type-c ports can only be used to charge the GF device. The USB-A port is the only one to simulate. We included a free USB-A to Type-C converter so that you can connect the iPhone 15/16/17 port.

  • After successfully completing the location simulation, go back to Settings and turn off Developer Mode. This will allow your simulated location to remain stable and effective for an extended period. After turning off Developer Mode, you can even disconnect the phone from the GF device. The simulate location will still remain stable.

Button/Charge

  1. Charge
    • Use the Lightning port or TYPE C port to charge the GF device. After the battery is fully charged, it can work continuously for 7-8 hours. DO NOT USE FAST CHARGING TO CHARGE THE GF. Or damage may occur.
    • When the device is connected to the mobile phone and plugged in the charger, it will charge the mobile phone and the device at the same time. The charging current of the mobile phone is lower than 1A, and the efficiency is not high.
    • When the charger is not plugged in, the iPhone screen (probably) will show the charging icon, and the phone is not actually in the charging state.
  2. How to make the simulation more stable:

    • After successfully completing the location simulation, go back to Settings and turn off Developer Mode. This will allow your simulated location to remain stable and effective for an extended period.

OR

    • Ensure the GF II device remains plugged in and charging during use.
  1. Power Switch
    • Press once the power button to turn on and press twice to turn off.
