Thank you for choosing GFBT Lite. Please follow the steps below to properly set up and use your device.

1. Power On the Device

GFBT Lite is equipped with a Type-C port.
Use a Type-C charging cable to connect the device to a power source.
This will supply power and enable the device to operate.

2. Connect via Bluetooth

After powering on, the blue LED at the back of the device will start flashing, indicating it is ready to pair.
On your iPhone, go to: Settings → Bluetooth
In the Bluetooth device list, find and select “GFBT Lite”.
Tap to connect.

3. Connect Through the App

Open the installed companion app.
Tap the lightning icon (⚡) in the top-right corner of the app (a lightning symbol inside a circle).
In the pop-up device list, select “GFBT Lite (BLE)”.
Once connected successfully, the blue LED on the device will turn solid (no longer flashing).

4. Set and Simulate Location

Inside the app, choose a location by:

  • Tapping directly on the map, or

  • Using the search function

After selecting your desired location, tap the “Lock” button.
Your location will then be successfully simulated.

Notes

  • The setup process includes two separate Bluetooth connection steps, and both must be completed for the device to function properly:
  1. Connecting “GFBT Lite” in the iPhone Bluetooth settings
  2. Connecting “GFBT Lite (BLE)” in the app
  • Keep the device powered during use.

  • If the connection fails, try restarting Bluetooth or reconnecting the device.

If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact our support team.

Steps

  1. In the app, select a far location on the map or via search.

  2. Tap the “Lock” button as usual.
At this point, the location may not be updated successfully.

  3. Go to your iPhone settings:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services

  4. Turn Location Services OFF.

  5. Wait for about 5 seconds, then turn Location Services ON again.

  6. Return to the app.

You will find that the location has now been successfully simulated.

Notes

  • This step is only necessary when simulating locations far away from your real position.

  • Make sure to return to the app after re-enabling Location Services.

Please note that you cannot use VPN while using this method.

If you have higher requirements for stability when using GFBT Lite, please carefully follow the steps below:

Step 1
Open the following website using the Safari browser on your iPhone: https://dnspriva.com/
(Important: You must use Safari. Other browsers will not work properly.)

Step 2
Contact customer support to obtain your License Code.

Step 3
Enter the License Code on the website, then click “Generate Profile.”

Step 4
Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the configuration profile on your iPhone. Once the setup is completed, your simulated location will remain very stable.

Anytime you are unable to successfully simulate a location, you can go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services, turn it off and then back on again, and it will work

You wish to temporarily stop using the Profile?

You don’t need to remove the Profile — as each installation consumes a new License Code usage. Instead, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, select DNS, then choose Automatic. When you need to use it again, simply go back and select DNS Privacy.

Important Notes

1. Device Powers Off Shortly After Connecting to Power

If you notice that the GFBT Lite turns off just a few seconds after being connected to a power source, this may be because your power adapter or power bank has stopped supplying power.
GFBT Lite consumes very low power, which may cause some power adapters or power banks to assume no device is drawing power and automatically enter sleep mode, cutting off the power supply.

Solution: Try using a different power source.

2. Unable to Simulate a Nearby Location After Successful Connection

If you are unable to simulate a nearby location even after a successful connection, please try restarting Bluetooth on your iPhone, then reconnect the device and repeat the setup steps.

3. Cannot Connect to GFBT Lite (BLE) in the App

If you are unable to successfully connect to “GFBT Lite (BLE)” within the app, please go to iPhone Settings → Bluetooth, manually reconnect to “GFBT Lite” from there, and then return to the app to proceed.

If you continue to experience any issues, please feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance.
